I don't care what the NBC analysts were saying all night (team is super sick, like SARS mixed with West Nile and Bird Flu) but this team has already quit on their coach.

who would have thought Tarasenko would be one fight away form the Double Gordie Howe Hat Trick? And who would have thought my low life Canucks would be 7 points up on the Oil at this point in the season? Maybe this is a good lesson for all those yappin Oil fans who basically handed their team the cup after the pre-season. Anyways I hope you guys start producing wins because the last thing that we all want is you guys getting another 1st overall pick.

Okay, so I'm gonna take full responsibility for Klefbom's struggles as I drafted him in my fantasy league. I did the same last year and dropped him around December when his play picked up, so I think it's beyond any shadow of a doubt that it's not only correlation, but in fact causation.

I deeply apologize for my actions and have now dropped him

Honestly, I don't think a coach can ignore the type of games Klef has been having lately. Those can't happen and if they do, certainly not three games in a row. Scratch him for a game or two and let him reset; whatever motivational techniques or coaching lessons Todd is using aren't working and need to be changed.

Complain about Russell all you want, at least the guy has been capable defending over the past 10 games. This is one rare case where +/- really paints an accurate picture: -14 or +1. Neither has been playing on the shutdown pairing either so there's simply no excuse.

Agreed!!.....oh wait, I mean No! Please don’t make any trades pc!!

The damage is done, I think it’s kind of a longshot that not only this team turns it around this year, but that we ever get to that elite echelon we all hoped for after years of bottom feeding and then finally getting Connor.
but regardless of damage already done or not, chia needs to go before he harms and handicaps us even further with a desperation trade.

If it’s anything but an oel echelon player, don’t give up serious assets to save your job and destroy our future along with our present

Mother(frank)er I commented on that post LAST night I've taken to watching the Lightning and/or junior hockey for my fix. Oil will always be my team but I haven't been able to stomach watching the last 3 games.

I think I've finally accepted the reality that the playoffs are a lost cause as of now. Any hope of turnaround hinges on Sekera's impact being immense and more far-reaching than anyone could dream of (not likely), an astute trade to shake-up the team (even less likely) or a combination of small acquisitions and a coaching change that infuses the team with new energy and faster wingers (only possible option).

Great post

Seks is gonna infuse some calm and really help transition no doubt. Over the long haul I think he probably helps a ton. But in terms of massive immediate turnaround in tangible wins before it’s too late, unlikely.

Firing tmac would be more than fine with me, but it’s abit of a cop out and unfair in some ways. I think unless this total nosedive long term losing streak occurs, theyll ride it out in the spirit of respect for him and the appearance of stability for us

The season is pretty much lost
